RASA Wakefield District Now Part of Northern Refugee Centre (NRC)

RASA Wakefield District has recently merged with Northern Refugee Centre, our head office is now at Sheffield. RASA Wakefield District still offers the same services that we have always provided.

RASA’s aims are sevenfold:

  • Providing refugees, asylum seekers and migrants direct access to services and information
  • Dealing with inequality to guarantee that refugees, asylum seekers and migrants are able to fully take part in community life
  • To build the capacity of the refugee, asylum seeker and migrant communities to support themselves and improve their quality of life, health and sense of well-being
  • Doing our best to ensure that refugees, asylum seekers and migrants are aware of their rights, responsibilities, opportunities and choices available to them
  • To raise awareness of issues facing asylum seekers and refugees
  • Promote preventative action to avoid the recurrence of problems in the future from statutory, voluntary and private sector organisations
  • Ensuring the best organisational policies and practices to help our clients in an efficient and confidential manner
